- Rules in this policy apply to all catering orders.
- Food Tasting can be arranged for orders over $500. There will be no charge for the Food Tasting, if the order is confirmed. Regular prices apply otherwise, or if the order is for under $500. Maximum 2 people.
- Cash, Zelle, CashApp only. No card payments. Prices are subject to change. Minimum catering order size $200. All orders must be placed in advance.
- Orders under $400 are considered "In-Process" 72 hours before handover time. Add 24 hours for every additional $400. All orders over $3,200 are considered in-process 10 days before handover day.
- For orders of $400 and under, full payment is due at the time of order, and must be placed a minimum of 72 hours in advance.
- For orders over $400, Catering Contract must be signed, and a minimum of 50% of the total will be due as security deposit (counted towards the total bill) at the time of placing order. Full payment (including all service charges and applicable taxes) will be due before the order is "In-Process" as described aobve. If full payment is not made by begining of In-Process date, the order may be cancelled without notice or refund.
- Refund Policy: Refund options are only available if 100% payment has already been made at least 24 hours before the "in-process" time. If the order is cancelled within 24 hours of the start of "in-process" time, 50% of the total food price, and 100% of the delivery charges (if applicable) will be refunded. If the order is already past the "in-process" start time, 25% of the food total and 100% delivery charges (if applicable) will be refunded. No exceptions to this refund policy.
- We provide food for your event. Limited service is available at $45 per person per hour.
- We will cook and provide food at safe temperatures as per food safety regulations at the time of handover. Customers are responsible for keeping food at safe temperature after handover. Food provided is recommended to be consumed within first 4 hours of the handover, provided it was kept at the recommended safe temperature.
- Orders are advised to be picked up by 4 pm on the promised day, unless a specific time has been agreed upon in the contract. Pickup day may not be the event day. In which case keeping food safe is not the restaurant's responsibility. Nina’s Desi Kitchen will not be responsible for any loss of food, due to any reason after handover. Check everything during handover.
- Delivery: Orders can be delivered to you for a fee. For the first 3 road-miles, delivery is Free. For all orders over 3 miles, delivery charges will be 7% of the food order plus $1 per mile for up to a maximum of 50 miles.
- Delivery disclaimer: We will not be responsible or liable for loss of your food during a delivery, due to circumstances outside of the restaurant's control. For example, severe weather during delivery, collision of the delivery vehicle, medical emergency during a delivery, etc.
- CT tax rates apply to all prepared food (at 7.35%) and services (at 6.35%). For tax exempt organizations. A copy of filled-out State Exemption documentation will be required when placing an order.
- We do not provide chafing racks, sternos, serving utensils, napkins, or dinnerware for events, unless purchased as part of the catering order.
- Metal food pans with lids and other items can be provided against a refundable security deposit due at the time of payment. Security deposit will be calculated per MSRP of items (for example, up to $25 for a pan & lid). Items are due back at the restaurant within 3 days after the event date. If not returned, a 10% of the total retail price will be billed as daily rent for all unreturned or lost items after the first 3 days, for the next 10 days or when the MSRP of the items have been fully paid from the deposit. Security deposit will be refunded in full for all undamaged returned items, if returned within the first 3 days.
