Policy & Info:

  1. We do not provide catering staff services or dinnerware.
  2. Customer are responsible for arranging for reheating facilities on event premises. 
  3. Food prepared for catering is not meant for long term refrigeration. Food is recommended to be consumed within 4 hours of leaving the restaurant, or refrigerated if the event is on the next day. If refrigerated, food must be reheated fully, and then kept above 135 deg F for serving.
  4. Food tasting can be provided on the day of placing order. If an order of $500 or more is placed, there will be no charge for the food tasting. If no order is placed, regular menu prices/charges may apply.
  5. Prices are subject to change. Catering prices are already discounted and non-negotiable for orders under $500. Discounts or deals may be available for larger orders.
  6. Payments must be made in-person, at the restaurant. For orders under $500, full payment is due at the time of order. 
  7. Orders under $500 are considered “in-process” 48 hours before pickup/delivery time (not event time). For larger orders, add 24 hours to “in-process” time for every $500 reached. E.g., Order is considered “in-process” 6 days ahead for a $2000 order, 12 days for a $4000 order, and so on.
  8. Catering contract will be signed for all orders over $500, and 50% deposit will be due at the time if the event is more than 2 weeks away from the “in-process” time. Full payment (food & services) is due before order is “in-process”. Cash or bank check/transfers preferred. 3.99% fee will apply on all credit and debit card payments.
  9. Catering refund Policy: Refund options are only available if 100% payment (food and services) has already been made before “in-process” time. No refunds available on initial 50% food price Deposit. No refunds on cancellation when order is “in-process”. 25% of the food total will be refunded if cancelled within 48 hours before the order is “in-process”. 50% of the total food price, and 100% delivery charges (if applicable) will be refunded, if the order is cancelled more than 48 hours before the order is “in-process”. No exceptions to refund policy.
  10. Orders are advised to be picked up by 4PM on the promised day, unless a specific time has been agreed upon on the contract. Pickup day may not be the event day. Nina’s Desi Kitchen will not be responsible for any loss of food, due to an accident, or time-and-temperature issue, once the order is handed over.
  11. Delivery: Orders can be delivered to you as per the following fee schedule: For the first 5 road-miles, delivery charges will be 5% of food order total or $50, whichever is greater. For additional road-miles, add $3 per mile or 2% of the food order total, whichever is greater, for up to a maximum of 30 miles (35 miles total). 
  12. CT tax rates apply to all restaurant food (7.35%) and services (6.35%). All payments (partial or full) will include tax for that portion of the payment. No-Tax option is available for tax exempt organizations. Copy of State exemption documentation required.
